World Polio Day 2014
Portsmouth, NH September 5, 2014— In honor of World Polio Day, which is recognized on October 24th, Seacoast Rotary Club of Portsmouth, NH is sponsoring “Bridge the Gap to End Polio” on October 25, 2014 at 9AM. Join us in this important effort. As many as 300 Rotarians, family and friends are expected to walk onto and span the new Memorial Bridge to raise awareness and funds for Polio Plus, Rotary International’s 27-year mission to eradicate the crippling childhood disease. Rotary Clubs from District 7780 (southern Maine and seacoast New Hampshire) will also be participating, helping to make the final push to eradicate Polio. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match each dollar raised two for one making “Bridge the Gap to End Polio” an event that is sure to have an impact. For as little as $25, your pledge will vaccinate 125 children. Please bring your American, Rotary, state or country flag and join us on October 25th.
